Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Vet Nurse Behaviourist, including puppy classes and home pet support services. By booking a service with Vet Nurse Behaviourist you agree to the terms outlined below.

1.1 About the Business
Vet Nurse Behaviourist provides services including:
Puppy training classes
Home pet support visits provided by a registered veterinary nurse
These services are provided as guidance and support for pet owners and do not replace veterinary diagnosis or treatment from a veterinary surgeon.
1.2 Booking and Payment
All services must be booked in advance.
Payment may be required at the time of booking or prior to the service taking place.
Vet Nurse Behaviourist reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings if:
Payment has not been received
The service is outside the scope of practice
Safety concerns are identified
Prices may be updated from time to time.
1.3 Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, please provide at least 12 hours notice.
Cancellations made with less notice may be charged in full.
Vet Nurse Behaviourist reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond control.
1.4 Client Responsibilities
Owners are responsible for:
Providing accurate information about their pet’s health, behaviour and history
Ensuring pets are safe to handle
Informing Vet Nurse Behaviourist of any aggressive behaviour or bite history
Vet Nurse Behaviourist reserves the right to refuse or stop a service if a pet poses a safety risk.
1.5 Veterinary Disclaimer
Services provided by Vet Nurse Behaviourist are not a substitute for veterinary care.
Advice given is based on veterinary nursing knowledge and training but does not replace diagnosis or treatment by a veterinary surgeon.
If a pet appears unwell or requires medical attention, clients will be advised to contact their vet.
1.6 Liability
While all reasonable care is taken during services, Vet Nurse Behaviourist cannot accept responsibility for:
Injury or illness unrelated to the service provided
Damage caused by pets during sessions
Incidents resulting from undisclosed behavioural issues
Clients remain responsible for their pets at all times.
1.7 Photography and Media
Photos or videos may occasionally be taken during sessions for educational or promotional purposes.
Clients will be asked for permission before images of their pets are used publicly.
1.8 Changes to Terms
Vet Nurse Behaviourist reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
1.9 Data Protection
Your contact details will only be used for class administration and communication from Vet Nurse Behaviourist. They will not be shared with third parties. Please visit the Privacy Policy page for more information.

2.1 Health Requirements
All puppies attending classes must:
Be in good health
Have started appropriate vaccinations
Be free from contagious illness
Be between the ages of 8-20 weeks old
Owners must inform Vet Nurse Behaviourist of any health concerns before attending.
2.2 Owner Responsibility
Owners remain responsible for their puppy during classes and must supervise them at all times.
Vet Nurse Behaviourist cannot guarantee specific training outcomes as progress depends on consistency and home practice.
Children are welcome but must be supervised by an adult at all times.
2.3 Safety and behaviour
Dogs displaying behaviour that may pose a risk to others may be asked to leave the class and alternative support may be recommended.
You agree to follow the trainer’s instructions during class for the safety of all participants.
If your puppy shows aggressive behaviour that cannot be safely managed in class, you may be asked to remove your puppy.
2.4 Health & Liability
Attendance at puppy classes is at your own risk.
While all reasonable care is taken, Vet Nurse Behaviourist accepts no responsibility for illness, injury, loss, or damage to you, your puppy, or your property during or after the class.
You remain legally responsible for your puppy’s behaviour at all times.
2.5 Cancellations & Refunds
If you cannot attend a class, refunds are not available.
In exceptional circumstances (e.g. serious illness), please contact Vet Nurse Behaviourist (Tia) to discuss options.
If Vet Nurse Behaviourist (Tia) needs to cancel a class, you will be offered an alternative date or a refund.

3.1 Scope of Service
Home pet support visits may include services such as:
Nail clipping
Medication support
Post-operative care assistance
Weight checks
Basic health monitoring
Handling support for nervous pets
These services are limited to veterinary nursing support and do not include diagnosis or prescribing medication.
3.2 Home Visit Conditions
Clients must ensure:
Safe access to the property
A safe environment for handling the pet
Pets are suitably restrained if necessary
If safety concerns arise, the visit may be terminated.
3.3 Veterinary Care
If a pet appears unwell or requires veterinary treatment, the owner will be advised to contact their veterinary practice.
Vet Nurse Behaviourist cannot provide veterinary medical treatment.
3.4 Aggression and Bite Risk
Owners must disclose any history of aggression, biting, snapping, or fear-based behaviour before any service takes place.
Vet Nurse Behaviourist reserves the right to refuse or discontinue a service if a pet displays behaviour that may pose a risk to safety.
Owners remain responsible for any injury or damage caused by their pet during sessions, including injury to Vet Nurse Behaviourist or other people and animals.
If a pet’s behaviour prevents safe handling, the session may be ended and alternative options may be discussed.
3.5 Medication and Handling Consent
When providing home pet support services that involve assisting with medication or handling, the owner confirms that:
The medication has been prescribed by a veterinary surgeon
Clear instructions have been provided by the prescribing veterinary practice
The pet has previously received the medication or the owner understands the risks involved
Vet Nurse Behaviourist will follow the instructions provided by the owner or medication label from their vet practice but cannot accept responsibility for adverse reactions to medication.
If a pet becomes distressed or unsafe to handle, medication administration may be stopped for the welfare of both the pet and the handler.
3.6 Access to Property
For home pet support visits, clients must ensure safe access to their property and pets.
Clients must inform Vet Nurse Behaviourist in advance if:
Other animals are present in the home
There are any risks that may affect safety
Someone else will be present during the visit
Vet Nurse Behaviourist reserves the right to terminate a visit if the environment is deemed unsafe.
Vet Nurse Behaviourist cannot be held responsible for incidents caused by unsafe environments or undisclosed risks within the property.
